PREMIER APPEALS FOR MEN. 22 WANTED THIS WEEK. We have received the' following'tele-1 gram from the Prime Minister (the Rfc. Hon. W. V. Masseyj:— "The Recruiting Board is advised by the Defence authorities that the returns up to Saturday last show that the infantry quota for (the 14th Reinforcements for No. 8 Group of the Wellington Military District. with headquarters at Hav.era. \<--22 men short. The Board urgently anneals to the committee:-, organised i" th:> group areas to use their utmost endeavors to see that the quota for the 14th K:dnforcements goes to camp at its full strength. There is an excess of men for all other branches of the service?'
