At Pohokura on Wednesday, 16th| inst., I had a fair entry which realised :j —Lamhs 13s 9d to 14 s Id, culls 7s 9d' to Bs, 2 and I-tooth wether s 23s Od, ; 23s Id, 22 s 7d. 22s 6d, 22s Id, mixed 2-tooth 15s 9d, 4 and -6-tooth ewes (small) 21s 7d, 6-tooth to f.m. owes 18s Id to 19s 7d, f.m. ewes 17s Gd, | rams 3gn«. ! On Thursday, 17th inst.. at Stratmore, I held a clearing sale on account of Mr G. C Calvert. Buyers were present in good numbers, making keen competition for everything offered Woolly lambs made 16s (id. f.f.m. ewes 10s and 20s. shorn lambs 12s :3d, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 22s 6d ! to 24s, '9-year mare and foal £2O, fat , cow £9 10s, store cows £5 5s to £6, dairy cow s £5 15s to £9, small in-calf heifers £3 12s. On the same day at Awakino. for my Annual sheep fair and cattle sale, I had a full yarding of sheep and cattie. The attendance of buyers was

Buyers from the Waikato end were present and operating freely for sheep. but in most oases the l'ai'anaki enquiry Was too strong, most of the lines falling to local buyers. At Okau on Friday for my sheep l fair and cattle sale, 1 offered one of the biggest yardings seen in these I yards. Buyers operating at the Awakino sale were again much in evidence, another very satisfactory sale resulting. At Kohuratahi on Wednesday 23rd, for my annual sheep fair and cattle sale, I had a full yarding of sheep, my yarding accommodation not being aide to hold the entry. Cattle were in fair supply. There was a record attendance of buyers from all parts of Taranaki, and at the dose of the day the opinion wa s freely expressed that this was the best sale held in the district for years. NEWTON KINGS' REPORT.
For my Haymarket sale of the 26th ult., 1 had a fair entry of pigs. There was a fair demand for all classes with the exception of weaners, prices being about par with last sale. 1 quote:— Slips and weaners lis to 18s (3d. small and backward sorts from 7s, small stores £1 Is to £1 ss. medium stores £1 (is 6d to £1 12s, good stores £1 18s to £2 10s. Timber in favor of buyers.
