At a meeting of 27)0 members of tiio Amalgamated Society oi Railway Servants a resolution wa s carried allirming the lii'ancb’s loyalty to the main executive, and pledging the branch to support any action that the controlling bodv deems advisable to counteract the apathy and indifference the (lovernment has shown to the demand for a living wage. It was considered that the demand for not less than one shilling per day was a reasonable one. and failing a favorable reply a special conference of all railwayman should be called to deal with the question.
