It is reported here thai the British cruiser Drake raptured the (n'erm-'tn cruiser Ttooii after a three hours fight oft' Bermuda. Two merchantmen reported the seizure. The British Embassy is unable to verify the report. THE APPAM CASE DISCUSSED.

ENEMY DESTROYERS DRIVEN OFF.

There has been a brisk naval engagement in the Adriatic. French and British Warships forced four destroyers to flee towards Cattaro.
ATTACK BY SUBMARINES
Paris, February 9
■ The Admiralty describes the naval action in the Adriatic on the 6th. A British cruiser and a French torpedo boat were covering the retreat of the Serbian army when they were lired on by four enemy destroyers, which fled. Next day the Allied vessels wevo attacked by submarines off Durazzo, and a torpedo missed the cruiser. The submarines were driven off.
