INVASION OF CANADAr SECRET SERVICE REPORTS. DISTRIBUTION OF MAUSERS AMONG GERMANS. I [United Phksr Association. 1 j London, February 9. The New York Herald says the Can'adiiiii Government has received secret I service reports indicating a German ! invasion. Two hundred thousand iMausers were distributed on the frontier, and numerous German officers have arrived disguised in order to lead tlie invasion. U.S.A. AND GERMANY. PRESIDENT WILSONS POSITION. THE TIMES' COMMENT. London, February 8. The Times, in a leader, refuses to believe that President Wilson has made a great surrender and is accepting German blood-money and assurances not to repeat the offence. The Times adds: "In view of the clear and reiterated statements and principles in previous Notes branding the sinking of liners as illegal and inhuman, we decline to think him or any President capable of abandoning the claim." CONSPIRATORS INDICTED. ARMY TO ATTACK CANADA. San Francisco. February 8. The German Consul-General Bopp has been indicted for conspiracy in a plot to originate a military expedition against Canada, and also blow up munition plants.
