to-morrows demonstration.

At the Victoria , Park to-morrow afternoon at 2.30 the Stratford F>re Brigade will hold two contests. Owing to the war the Taranaki hire Brigade Association’s annual demonstration, which was to have been held in Stratford this year, was postponed, hut having .spent a considerable time in getting the "rounds in order, the local brigade decided to hold a contest amongst its own members. For The - last lew weeks the entrants in the different events have been training night and morning, and very creditable contests should he witnessed. The following are the events:— Five Men Event: Five men to run 75 yards with reel to plug, fix hydrant. run out 3 lengths of hose strike disc, replace centre length and strike disc.
