PENEMY ACTIVITY IN BELGIUM

There are indications of Herman activity in Belgium. .Many reinforcements are arriving, and it is believed that between three and six thousand guns have been brought up.

General Haig reports that there is heavy enemy shelling at Loos and we effectively replied.
HIGH COMMISSI ONE FI’S REPORT
IMHT9LT The High Commissioner reports:— London, February -1 (1.10 a.m.)
Troops marching to Botjaulmc caught our tire. In the Argonne there is mining activity, ,we destroying the enemy’s subterranean works. Several enemy infantry attacks wen* stopped by our lire. An effective lire in Alsace provoked a lire in the enemy cantonments.
