THE ASSAULT ON ERZEROUM. [United Pekbb AisßoniATinN.l Petrograd, February 3. Great calm prevails on the whole rout. The Russians have commenced issaults on Erzeroum. The country is oadtess and the cold is very intense, .'he troops are compelled to drag the pins over passes 9000 loot high. Ibc lurks have fourteen divisions on the Persian front, also irregulars 'and Curds. The Russians assert that sov•ral regiments have been annihilated, ('hough it is a long way from Erzormrn to Constantinople, the Turks are ■nshing reinforcements to Armenia.
