A meeting of the Labor Council attempted to debate a motion endorsing the action of the Broken Hill strikers, but the speakers wore interrupted and hooted, and the meeting adjourned in disorder. The boom that has recently characterised recruiting is easing consider-; ably. I Melbourne, February 4. | The Federal Attorney-General has decided that the Tasmanian Soldiers’' Liquor Restriction Bill is legal. The decision recognises the power of State; Parliaments to forbid serving soldiers wTtii liquor. This is important, because of the possibility of a wider opplication than to only Tasmania.
