SECOND DAY'S RESULTS. , The meeting was continued yesterday in ideal holiday weather, and there was again a large crowd, who thoroughly enjoyed the interesting racing throughout. A remarkable I feature of the day was that six of j Wednesday's winners were first to j catch the judge's eye, these being J Florist, Astor, Merry Boe, Bimeter, j Hushman and Zetes. Naturally the' favorites were in demand, but the public badly misjudged Lord Nelson's abilities in the Fanners' Plate, and his divvy was well into two figures. Zetes was also poorly backed despite his creditable performance on the first flay, and lie returned his supporters another welcome sum, although it was something less than half of the previous one. Speculation wa s brisk, and again a "power o' money" went through the machine, the total investments amounting to about £20,000. The arrangements for the meeting were first-class, and wave carried out without a Ditch. The detailed results were as follows: OKAIAWA HACK HURDLES, Of IQOsovs., 1} miles. 2 H.
