The Taranaki Jockey Club has made excellent train arrangements for racegoers in connection with their Patriotic Race Meeting, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, 9th and 10th February. The Wanganui Garrison Bawd's services have been secured to supply the music, and race-goers should enjoy two good days' outing on the Club's beautiful racecourse at New Plymouth. Mr Hartgill will act as judge and Mr 0. O'Connor as starter, which should ensure satisfaction in these two departments. The Club's course is in splendid condition, and the improvements lately effected on the property now place the course in the first rank. The Club has received excellent entries and some of the best handicap horses in New Zealand will be engaged at the meeting. Patrons can therefore be assured of interring racing.
