TARANAKI AUTUMN SHOW.
The Metropodjtan Society of the district is holding its annual Autumn Show on March isl and 2nd. Pntil a fmy years ago this Society, like tin* majority of other societies in New Zealand; held its annual show m the kpriiig each year, hut as it was always -unfortunate with the weather it was decided to change to the autumn. That this change is popular is shown by the great number of entries that were received for the last two shows, many of them coming as they did from settlers who had never before exhibited at any show, and also by the keen interest that is being taken by all tlie country people, wlio, now that the busy season is over, have made up their minds to have a couple of days at Taranaki’s big fixture.
A glance at the schedule will be suliicieut to convince all who have made up their minds to attend the show that there will be plenty to interest them. Several new classes have been introduced, which w ill undoubtedly lie interesting to the public. The gilt call competition tiiis year seems to be meeting with general favor, as numerous entries have already been received, and a number of others promised. The schedule has been arranged with great care by those who have bad (Inexperience of years, so that the wants of one and all are provided for. Kntries close definitely on February Dili. Schedules may be obtained on application to the Secretary, P.O. Box ID, New Plymouth.
