Sir Edward Carson made a remarkable address in his appeal, in the Slingesby case. He lias already spoken For six days, summing up the evidence and favouring the contention that Xeddie Slingesby was a changeling. The judges commented on Sir Edward Carson's amazing eifort of memory. THE FLOODS IN HOLLAND. NEW AREAS AFFECTED. POSITION VERY SERIOUS. (Received 8.20 a.m.) Amsterdam, January 25. The flood waters continue .to rise higher than the great Hoods of 1825. The situation in many new areas is serious, and houses have been ordered to be evacuated.
