ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
FOUND DROWNED. Per Press AssonrA-nON. Auckland, January 2-1. The body of a man aged about forty-five years was found in the harbor to-day. Apparently it had been in the water for a week. The deceased has not yet been identified. j - A Maori child about tluve years of age was accidentally poisoned at Oeo on Sunday (states the Manaia Witness), by drinking mercury out of a bottle. The child was at once brought to Manaia, to Dr. Milroy, but on its arrival it was past medical aid and died soon afterwards.
