A NEW OBJECTIVE.
THE PERSIAN GULF.
United Press Association. (Received 10.40 a.m.) London, January 24. A Rome correspondent states that tlie expedition to Egypt lias been abandoned in favour ot the campaign in Mesopotamia, the objective being the Persian Gulf. The arrival of fifty thousand troops at Constantinople is confirmed.
