THE QUESTION OF CONVOYS. SWEDEN'S ECONOMIC SITUATION (Received 10.5 a.m.) Copenhagen, January 23. A Swedish Blue Book shows that the Scandinavian Convoy Conference in I February failed owing to. Britain's objection to convoys in British territorial waters. Sweden, however, has issued convoy regulations'to-be enforced in the Baltic probably jnVt&e autumn. Sweden's economic situation is described as good, savings .bank-deposits in 191.5 being twenty-nine million kroner above the 1914.
