Referring to tho after-effects of the war, the report said that the employment of wounded soldiers would necessitate drastic alterations in union rules. Perth. January 21. Despite the closing of the hotels, riots continue, fruit stalls and wine shops suffering. Stones and bat tons were used and several police were injured. Order has been restored. Melbourne, January 21. Mr Hughes, replying to m application to raise a new capital, said the Government requires fifty million lot war purposes alone this year.
