United Puebs Association. (Received 8.10 a.m.) Petrograd, January 19. The Rt. Hon. Sir George Buchanan (British Ambassador), addressing the Polish Colony, says that the Allies were riding a waiting race and had greater staying powers than Germany. The Allies were going to win whatever the cost, unless any craven voice was lifted in favor of peace. He urged Britishers to cater for the vast Russian trade. Both Russia and Britain should erect a barrier against German trade encouragements. AN AUSTRIAN FABLE. ALLEGED COMPLETE SUCCESS. (Received 10.45 a.m.) Amsterdam, January 19. An Austrian communique states: A great battle on the East Galician and Bessarabian frontier, lasting for three weeks has ended, and we are completely victorious on our entire 120 kilometres of front, against superior forces. '1 he enemy sacrificed seventeen thousand dead and wounded and is now waiting for reinforcements. IN THE CAUCASUS. <* TURKISH REGIMENT ANNIHILATED. USEFUL CAPTURE OF ORDNANCE. (Received 10.45 a.m.") Petrograd, January 19. A communique states: We captured twelve Turkish guns in the Caucasus and much munitions and annihilated an entire regiment.
