Colonel llepington, the Times’ military writer, forecasts the German plans, in the order named, as an offensive in the West, in hgypt. in Mesopotamia, an attempt to bring in Roumania, ami, hnally a contimiathm of, tile attack against Russia. He warns the Allies that Russia has suifered terribly. “Let ns not think Russia is going to win the war. Let us decide to win ourselves. We shall need a large superiority of men and guns, and 1.000.000 men to complete our ostah!ishincuts. Petrograd, January 10. The Bourse Gazette publishes the sturv of a narrow escape the Kaiser had in a Zeppelin flight over Warsaw. One of the screws of the airship broke and tote a great hole in the envelope. The airship listed heavily, and a parachute wa.s prepared lor the Kaisers use in the event of the machine collapsing. The countryside wa s roused and motor patrols hurried out. everything weighty, including the officers’ swords, was jettisoned, and the Zei>pelin continued to fall till i'ae anchor caught a tree and the machine grounded without serious damage.
