Herr Moiaht, in the Berliner Tageblatt, says: "We have abandoned all illusions; we know we are engaged in a life and death struggle. - We could wish Britain would realise the impossibility of crushing us; the present agony is no use to anyone. We, like the French, are forced hy our losses to put water into the wine, but Britain is putting wine into her water, having created an army (larger and better than the German militarist's had foreseen." The Reichstag approved of a five hundred million credit. The Socialist minority opposed it for the purpose of showing disapproval of political conquests.
