Peb Press Association. Wellington, Decebmer 15. A woman nemed Bessie Tattle/who resided in Frederick Street, died suddenly last night, while sitting with some, pf her young children. She was suddenly takert illy and lay down on the bed and expired. Her husband, Alfred Tattle, is in camp at Trentham. ... v . • A youth named ' Herbert" Hobday, residing at Island Bay, met with a serious accident early this morning. He was handling a loaded revolver when the charge exploded, and the bullet struck him on the head, fracturing his skull. He wa s removed to the "hospital ,where an operation was performed, and portion of the bullet was removed. His condition is critical. The youth Hobday, victim of the shooting accident at Island Bay, died in hospital. Mr s Mitchell, an elderly woman, belonging to Invercargill, died in hospital as the result of severe injuries she suffered through being knocked down by a. train at Petone last Saturday.
