The Associated Press correspondent at Pekin states that Yuan-Shih-Kai has accepted tbe offer of the Throne in response to the Government's petition. Yuan-Shih-Kai at first declined, but accepted when the request was renewed, merely stipulating that lie should continue as President until there was a convenient time for his Coronation.
