I Crossbreds fetched full opening rates; merinos showed a rather better selection, bringing slightly firmer piJees. There was excited bidding lor all sorts. New Zealand “ W'aihopar” 27U1 to 28|d. NEWTON KING’S HAYMARKET. At my Haymarket sale on Saturday last 1 had a fair yarding of pigs and prices on all lines were on a par with those of my previous sale. I quote as follows :—Weanors (small) 12s to ids Gd, medium 15s to 225, small stores 23s Gd to 255, good £2 2s Gd to £2 ids. T. LAMASON’S WEEKLY REPORT Last Saturday our usual sale was held when we hud a very good attendance, but only a medium entry of Poultry, vegetables, etc. We quote as follows:—Hens Is < d to 2s 3d, ducks 2s to 2s' Gd, geese 3s Gd to 3s Gd, hen and chicks 7s Gd to 9s, cabbage 3s to 3s Gd dozen, potatoes 5s to ids Gd per bag, gooseberries 2a co 3d per lb. Furniture and sundries at usual rates. The Mew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received tiie following cablegram fioni their London house under date eth h st: — “Wool sales, strong competition. Compared with 18th November, niuno good, crossbred greasy, scoured, coarse slipe 71 higher, better market faulty.”
