On the evening of the Ist iust. a pleasing ceremony took place in the Wluingamomona Public Hall, when Mr and. Mrs T. Aylward, who are-leav-ing here to reside in Stratford, were the recipients of a Teacher’s Bible and a nicely bound copy of the new Church Praise Hymn Book. The former was presented on behalf ol the’ Presbyterian Sabbath School by Air A. H. Norrie. resident missionary, who referred to the devoted and callable manner in. which both Mr and Mrs Aylward had interested themselves in conducting the local Sabbath School. Air Fawkner, choir master, presented the Hymn Book, and -poke of Mrs Aylward’s willing and efficient services as church organist. During the evening, a number of views of South Westland Glaziers were shown by flic aid of the missionary'- optical lantern, and the following contributed to the success °f the evening’s entertainment: — : Hynm, Miss Isa Brown ; duet, Ale.sdames McMeekin and Conirie; illustrated reading, Miss AleMeekin ; song, illustrated, Mr Fawkner. There was a large attendanee, and the proceeds were in aid of the Prsbvterian Sahbatli School.
