PERSONAL.
At the conclusion of the civil business at the Stratford Magisrate’s Court this morning, Mr T. C. Fookes said the present was the last occasion on which Mr Kenrick would preside at the Court for some time, and on behalf of the members of the Bar ex-| pressed the wish that lie would return from his holiday .and tour in his normal state of health. In conclusion, Mr Fookes said lie hoped Mr Kenrick Would preside at the Court for a long time to come. Mr C. Wright expressed his wish fpr Mr Kenrick’s speedy recovery and also eulogised the work of his ’ Worship. Mr R. Spence, who said he had appeared before the Magistrate probably more than an}’ other member of the Bar, also expressed the feeling that existed between his Worship and of the Bar. The best tribute he could pay the Mhgistratif was his judicial efficiency, iri that jus decisions were rarely appealed against, and when appealed against were never upset. At any rate; no decision delivered by his Worship had been reversed. It was good for his Worship to know that he went away with the best wishes for a speedy recovery; also that the assurance from those best able to judge of their complete confidence in .judicial fairness and integrity. .Mr Fookes also wished his Worship the compliments of the season. Mr Kenrick, in reply, thanked the members of the Bar for their good wishes.
