A special show programme will be shown twice at His Majesty’s ‘Theatric this evening, the first screening commencing at six o,clock and the second at eight.

The Military Concert held last night in the Town Hall was a great success. The Hall was fairly-well filled, and the Tobacco Fund should benefit thereby. Mr J. B. Hine, M.P., presided. The programme was a varied one. and was much enjoyed by all. The marching display by the Girls’ ‘League ’was' very good, the' various moves being clearly done, .while Swedish drill was finely done by the Cadets under Lieutenant Gray, who gave an exhibition of club-swinging. Miss Mack ay sang “Buy My' Roses”'in costume, while Miss Rita Grubb danced a fine hornpipe. Recitations were given by Serge'int Betts, Messrs i l . O’Connor and Heron. Sergeant Betts and Mr W.
