BOWLING.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At a meting of the executive of the Taranaki Bowling Centre in the Now Plymouth Club’s pavilion yesterdav. it was decided that the tournament ho held a$ already arranged at the annual meeting, on January :?o, -(>. - and 28. and that circulars be issued to the various clubs throughout the North Island.
' It was decided that the tournament he held on the three town greens, that entries close on Tuesday, January 11. 1916. that the entrano’e fee he £2 per rink, and that the net profits of the tournament he devoted to the Bowlers Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. Messrs A. K. Smart, J. i>. Sole. S. Smith, and the secretary were .appointed a committee to arrange drawings, draw up programme, and to generally arrange details in connection with the tournament.
{ It was decided to notify all clubs that under the Dominion Association’s rules >m tapes may lie used for marking out rinks, and this must lie discontinued for the future.
The Auroa Bowling Club awnlied for affiliation to the Centre .—Gran ted. I Messi\s W. A. Parkinson. .M. Fraser, ami J. 1). Sole wore appointed trusted nf the Taranaki Bowlers’ Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, and Mr 0. X. Firth was appointed secretary anc! treasurer.
