The Prime Minister stated to-day that farmers had been granted an extension of time for the completion oi forms’in connection with the new in-come-tax scheme. The’Land and In-come-tax Deiiartmeut had informed him that the date) for' the return ol forms had been extended 1 roni December Itli to December ISth, and in the meantime advice and information were being' supplied to any landowners who need assjstancejn making the required returns. • "■ t
“Tlu| arrangement tor the supply ol cheese to the Imperial authorities is working ’well,” said the Prime Minister. “I binvo received communications on the subject front factories in all parts of ithe Dominion, and in every case the now scheme under which onethird of the total output is to be requisitioned for Imperial purposes at the- fixed price has been accepted in good (spirit. No objection has been raised 'in any quarter. People connected with the cheese industry have diown a very patroitic spirit.”
