FEILDINC MEETING. (Notes by Cicero.) As the acceptances are first-class and a number of good performers are en? gaged, the Feilding Jockey Club should have a most successful spring meeting. The majority of horses engaged in lie Aoraugi Trial are unknown. Robdie has a great private reputation, whilst Mossman, if started, must comnand respect. No less than nineteen horses aeceptk! for the Flying Stakes, for whicli ’'vent Botanist and Ardent should run imminently. Montana (who ran a fine race in the Metropolitan at Rieearton) is nicely handicapped at 8.4 in St. Andrew’s Handicap, and Tangihou should prove :,hc hardest to beat. Naupata did not run up to expecttions at Rieearton, and possibly may make amends by showing his host form in the Spring Hurdles. The field for the Waitima Hack Hurdles promises to be large. St. Gate and White Plume are not over-burden-hd, and should receive strong support. Desert Gold’s brother, Egypt, can gallop fast, and will lie a tough proposition for the older brigade in the Feilding Stakes, of oOUsovs. Bimeter should be the youngster’s most dangerous opponent. Another large field will start in the \iwitea Handicap. Austin. His Eminence, and Lady Amai should moiioKilise the betting. Roumania (8.8) looks to have a ■bailee in the Fitzroy Hack, and Sedd-d-Ba.hr too, may lie bard to dispose of.
