HUGE PEACE MSSSSON. “CEASE FIRING.” MR HENRY FORD’S ORGANISATION. United Press Association. (Received 8.5 a.m.) New York/ November 26. Mr Henry Ford, of the Ford Motor Company, in conjunction with other pacificists, is organising a peace mission to Europe on a large scale. They have •chartered the -steamer Oscar 11. and are refitting her luxuriously, and will sail on December 4. A manifesto has been issued, declaring: “The, time lias come to cease firing. We 'are going to try to get the boys out' of the-trenches and be back home for Cbrjstmat; Day.” Mr Fprd'has hot disclosed the plans in regard id theiprpposal to call a neutral conference. Mr Thoimls Edison, the inventor, was the first ted accept the invitation to join the mission, being followed by .Miss Jane Addaqis and Mr John Wanamaker. Wlten Mr Ford gets to sea, he will send out wireless messages in continuation of the campaign. He has inaugurated women’s organisations, who are importuning the President with a Hood of telegraphic requests to intervene. Mr Ford declares his willingness to sacrifice every penny to promote }xmce. He is convinced that two hundred pacificists can. lie conveyed to and from Europe for £IOOO a head.
