MINERS' ROUGH EXPERIENCE. BURIED WAIST-DEEP IN BOULDERS FOR 14 HOURS. ——_ f Per Pkess, Association, Waihi, November 26. John Hayes, who, with James McJjennan met with an accident in the Hope Waihi mine yesterday through a sudden subsidence of quartz, was rescued at 2.30 this morning, having been buried waist deep. McLennati got out after an hour's work. Hayes', although buried, could be Seen through a crevice in the, boulders, but he Was so hemmed in with the boulders and general debris that fourteen hours were occupied in' extricating him. During Hayes' imprisonment bovril was administered to him. His injuries consisted of contusions' of the bedy and limbs, and is suffering from shock.
