NEWTON KSNC'S HAYMARKET. At my Hay market sale last Salday, T had a full yarding of pigs, which met with fairly keen competition, and although several lines, were passed under the hammer all were sold later on, with the exception of two pens. However, on the day's market, small classes did not maintain anything like the standard price owing chiefly to their poor quality and condition. On the other hand, store pigs were in keen demand and realised exceptionally good prices. I quote as follows: — Weaners (small) 12s to lis, good 15s to 17s. slips 22s to 245, stores (small) 27s to 30s, medium 32s (id to 38s, good | 39a 6d to £2 10s, breeding sows £2 I 10s to £2 17s 6d.
