Since the beginning of the war the total British officer casualties were 19,668, including 6032 killed and died of wounds, 11,952 wounded, and. 1683 missing. The killed include Generals Wing "and Wormand; the missing, General Bruce; and the wounded, five Brigadier-Generals.
