CHURCHILL IN THE TRENCHES. WEATHER VERY WINTRY. United Pbess Association. (Received 8.15 a.m.) Paris, November 24. Major Churchill, who is attached to the' Grenadiers, has had his first spell in the trenches. There is little activity on the British front, the weather being very wintry. TOTAL LOSS OF BRITISH OFFI- } CERS 19,668. , (Received 8.35 a.m.) London, November 24. Since the beginning of the war the total British officer casualties were 19,668, including 6032 killed and died of wounds, 11,952 wounded, and. 1683 missing. The killed include Generals Wing "and Wormand; the missing, General Bruce; and the wounded, five Brigadier-Generals.
