MYSTERIOUS EXPLOSION. ALIEN ENEMIES SUSPECTED. United Press lAasooiAiroN. (Received 9.10 a.m.) Ottawa, November 23. An explosion, the cause of which is unknown, but which is believed to bo jthe work of alien enemies, occurred in tbe plant of tlie Canadian Explosives Company, Parry Sound, Ontario. The plant occupies three square miles, and five one-storey buildings used for the storage of cordite, which is manufactured in large quantities, were obliterated. There was no loss of life, as the employees had left before the explosion, tne force of which partly wrecked the railway station. In view of tlie suspicious nature of the occurrence, 150 men of the Overseas Contingent have been despatched. and a cordon thrown round the works.
