REPATRIATED SAMOANS. United Pkess Association. (Received 9.30 a.m.) Sydney, November 23. Years ago a number of Samoan natives were exiled to Saipan Island for displaying opposition to the German annexation of Samoa, but following tbe Japanese capture of Saipan the natives have been repatriated, and are now on their way to Sydney en route to Samoa. THE 114th LIST. (Received 8.35 a.m.) Sydney, November 23. The 114th list includes:—lll: Sergt.H. G. Maekay (hospitalled in London), Lance-Corporal R. W. Dick (hospitalled in Fulham), Lance Corporal H. Ward, Privates J. A. Armstrong (both disembarked at Malta), G. W. Parmentor (hospitalled in Bristol), J. Cole (embarked for England). PRISONERS; OF WAR IN TURKEY (Received 8.35 a.m.) Melbourne, November 23. The Prime Minister (Mr Hughes) is in receipt of a cable from the Foreign ' Office stating that the aggregate number of British and Australasian pris-oners-of-war in Turkey does not exceed 450. It is understood that the Foreign Office is constantly in touch with the Turkish Red Crescent on the subject of prisoners. \ • .UNIVERSAL SERVICE LEAGUE. (Received 8.35 a.m.") Melbourne, November 23. The general committee of the Universal Service League has adopted the executives recommendation advising a | suspension of activities pending the Government campaign which is based on a war census and Lord Derby's scheme, ow the ground that it will interfere with the conduct of the campaign and rttir up opposition to Con-" scription.
