FOOD RIOTS IN VIENNA. ' ,1 WOMEN FIGHT THE POLICE, d United Press Association. (Received 10.5 a.m.) Amsterdam, November 21. Reports from Vienna state that serious food riots occurred in the markets on Monday and Tuesday, owing to the dearth of vegetables and butter. Women fought the police, live women and one policeman being wounded. After the mounted police charged, the women dispersed singing verses demanding immediate peace to the tune of the National Anthem.
