The compulsory coal conference resulted *ili a complete agreement being reached in all matters in dispute between the northern and southern collieries in New South M ales,-and probably agreements will be made covering Queensland, Victoria; and Tasmania. Judge Higgins pointed out that many strikes occurred for trivial, reasons, and the parties agreed to provide the Boards with references in tile various districts .to which'the. dispute shall, be submitted .without stopping work.
