THE HEADS CONFER. PERSONEL OF THE COUNCIL. United Press Association. (Received 9.55 a.m.) Paris, November 17. The first Anglo-French War Council held here was participated in by Messrs Asquith, Balfour, Lloyd George, Sir Edward Grey, M.M. Briand, Gallieni, Lacade, and oral Joffre. ANGLO-FRENCH CONSULTATION. The High Commissioner reports:— LmTuum iNovember 17 (8 p.m.) Messrs Asquith, Balfour, and Lloyd George, acompauied by naval, military, arid diplomatic advisers, have arrived in Paris for a consultation with the French Government.
ACTIVE ARTILLERY. London, November 17. Sir John French reports that since bis communique of November 10 the artillery on both sides has been active, especially south of La Bassee canal anj eastward of Keramel, also east of Ypres.
