When returning:'"' The election referred to is the triennial election for the Municipal City Council of Johannesburg. • The contest is generally a very bitter one, being fought on party lines. This year, as the message states, the citizens' ticket has been elect-. ed, with the Captain at the head of ( the poll. This is the more complimentary as the Captain has been on active service for the past eighteen months.
