MR CHURCHILL IN REPLY. UWITHD I'HIU (A*BOOM«OH (Received 9.25 a.m.) London, November. 15.Mr Churchill, in the House of Commons, said he had not received that clear guidance and firm support from Mr Fisher which might have been expected. If he disapproved of the Dardanelles campaign he should have spoken out on the War Council. Mr Churchill claimed that the Dardanelles enterprise was profoundly, maturedly, and elaborately considered. An Admiral who was on the spot said the Dardanelles could not be rushed, but they might be reduced gradually .by bombardment. Admiral H. Jackson confirmed the view. Mr Fisher in January deprecated reducing the margin of naval strength in Home waters, but never criticised the methods of the attack on the Dardanelles. The Erst stage of the operations was successful beyond all expectations, but slower progress was made in March. All the movements were taken with Mr Fisher's written asseivt.
