Miss Mac-Lean, matron-in-chief of the New Zealand Army Service, in a report from Egy,pt, states that she does not consider it necessary to send further of nurses to Egypt. She would rather advise that further contingents be sent to relieve those already there, if. and when, they show undue strain. She considered it would be unwise to send untrained women to assist the nurses in hospitals in Egypt and suggested that no troopship should be sent away without nurses.
