A WELLINGTON DELUGE.
Peb Press Association. Wellington, November 0. A heavy thunderstorm passed over Wellington early this morning, accompanied by sheet lightning. It began shortly before 3 o’clock and lasted until 4.30. There was a tieluge of rain, with the result that the Wellington-Upper Hutt railway was blocked in two places. A slip occurred at Rocky Point, near Ngahauranga, and a wash-out to the approach to tlie Belmont Bridge. 4 p to 11 o’clock no trains had left Wellington or arrived.
