THE WAIMANGU GEYSER.
REPORT FROM ROTORUA. FRYING PAN FLAT BLOWN AWAY. Fee Frees Association. Rotorua, November 5. The Waimaugu Geyser' exploded at 2 o’clock tills afternoon, but the eruption was much less than that of April 12, being a single shot of three or four minutes’ duration. A column of mud. water, and steam rose 200 or 300 feet, and a cavity 60 feet across was formed. Frying Fan Flat was almost blown away. \After the explosion the geyser became absolutely quiescent, and no .sign of eruption has been manifested since.
