Draught gelding—Wellington City Corporation; reserve, Wellington City Corporation. In bliorthorns there was good competition, and G. A. Turner (Eltham) secured, hist for a pen of two heifers, and second and third foi: two-year-old bull, in the Jerseys, 11. J. Linn, of -Normaiiby, gained the championship with ins well-known bull Lord TwylisJi, whilst a yearling daughter, owned by G. A. Hadler, of Normaiiby, beat a strong class of seven. J. Mitchell, formerly ol Hawera, was hrst with Silver King for carriage stallion, whilst J. D. Mitchell iMauaia) was hrst with Patrick T. for entire pony, and with Princess was third out of twelve entries in tho pony mares.
In tho weight-carrying hack class, up to 13 stone, J. McL. Blair (Mawera), was second, and J. O’Donnell (luaha) third, whilst A. Mitchell’s Hassan, J. McL. Blair’s Captain Starlight, and J. O’Donnell’s King’s Bark tilled the places in maiden hacks. In best troop horse, J. W. Burke’s Eltham Fritz was lirst, and 11. Burke’s Cliff third, and the same horses were respectively third and second in the single class. In Irish Terriers, Mrs C. H. Saunders swept the board, her two entries, Fukekura Tigris and Fukekura Prodigy, bqetweeu them receiving ten xirsts, three specials, and three seconds. Fukekura Tigris also won t.ae New Zealand Kennel Club’s Challenge Cup.
