MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. [United Puess Association, j (Received 9.5 a.m.) Sydney, November 3. The Premier (Mr Holman), in reply to questions regarding the opposition of the Government to the Liquor Bill, said that if early closers did not value it and thought the Bill useless, they could petition Parliament or the Goernment and ask that it be abandoned. Referring to persistent rumor of the arming of Germans, Mr Black stated that the police had.seized many arms in the city and country, but did not find signs of a systematic distribution of arms.
