ANGLO-FRENCH TROOPS OFF KAVALLA AND SALONIKA. United Press Association. (Received 8.45 a.m.) Amsterdam, November 2. The Tageblatt states:. Anglo-French transports laden with troops have appeared off Kavalla and Salonika. BURGARIANS REPULSED. FRENCH INFLICT ENORMOUS LOSSES. ATTACKS ON WHOLE FRONT FAIL MISERABLY. (Received 8.45 a.m.) London, November 2. When the Bulgarians attacked Krivolak, the Bulgarians \\oaw caught obliquely with gunfire. They were also subjected to a furious bayonet charge and thrown on to the right bank of the Vardar, which was swollen with rains. Many were drowned. An extremely violent Bulgarian attack at Strumnitza was easily repulsed, thanks to the superiority of the French positions. The French casualties numbered 1000, and the enemy's were enormous. Bulgarian attacks along the whole French front failed miserably.

RUSSIANS IN OCCUPATION OF VARNA. OnIIBD t"RKM IAMOOUTTOIi Bucharest, November 2. It is reported in official naval quarters that the Russians have landed at Varna. Refugees from Varna state that the bombardment damaged the Armenian and Greek quarters and the barracks, the marine arsenal and the naval docks. Shells also damaged a wing of King Ferdinand's chateau.'
