The report read as follows: —The committee, iii presenting Lhe SJtli annual report and balaiiee-sneot, na much pleasure on congratulating the 'dub on tbe satisfactory stale ol ! affairs. At tho beginning ol' last scu- | ,(11) the membership stood al 1 1. L'dteen new members wcro elected during tho year, bringing the total up to 5<J. Resignations have been received from six., several of our players having left* the district, but as a number of new ones are desirous of joining, jili,. total will not suffer. The overdraft at tho bank is considerably in I advance, of that i" the beginning ol last season, owing'to tho extra expenditure i" living out, forming, and fencing tennis courts, but with the I increased membership, it is quite <"*■ Ipected to substantially reduce- it dur'jug the coming year. The members (subscription* lor the year amounted to ,117 10s, an increase of t\ I N s (id on last year',, receipts. During the j season, nine croquet matches were played, the club being successful in lour only. A "Garden Fete" was held on the lawns in March, the. nefl amount, £34 14a 6d, being handed over to the society of the Belgian Belief Fund. Special thanks are due to the Electric Light Company for doing all work and lighting in connection with this entertainment free oi charge, thereby helping to make it such a success; also tho members oi the Municipal Baud, Mr Lumason, 1 laud all olber s who helped in any way. The courts have boon top-dress-ed, and are now in good condition for playing, so an enjoyable and successful season 'is anticipated. Ii The following officers were elected: President, Mrs Dingle; vice-presi-dents Mr 11. E. Lawrence; secretary. 'Mrs L. Bieraj committee, Mesdame? I.Boon, Duulop, '-loon and Mr (J eoll l Lawrence ; auditor, Mr Chas. L'enu; Igreen-wardens, Messrs K.
