The Vaccination Committee state. 1 ; that it considers a conscience clause should be enacted, and further recommends: That infants of two .years bo examined ; that except during an epidemic that vaccination bo required before live years of age; and that aim to arm vaccination be made illegal, infant vaccination had proved effective in eighty per cent, of cases, and adults in sixty per cent. There hadeben only 108 deaths from smallpox' in Australia in thirty years. (Received 9.25 a.m.) Melbourne, October 3U. Mr Hughes announced that he had secured December and January wheat and flour freightage. Mr Fisher intends to tour Australia, acquainting himself with the important facts before leaving the country. In the House Mr Hughes said he had decided to allow the quantity of aspirin already manufactured to be sold under that name, pending the question of wiping out all German names. Adelaide, October 3U. Mr Archilbald, referring to the reconstruction of the Cabinet, said it had been brought about by scheming, hungry, greedy place-hunters. He accused Mr O'M.alley of frequenting the Trades Hall with the object of influencing the industrial soctiou, and claims that he has not been given the right to defend himself from charges which arose over his adherence to the Cabinet policy.
