It is reported that the captain of the cruiser, Sydney boarded the liner Bermudian, off Sandy Hook, and reported having sunk the Eclipse, with all on board.

Six German officers from the interned Kron Prinz Wilhelm escaped by the 'Eclipse. One report states that they were taken prisoner by the cruiser, which sunk the yacht. LOSS OF AUXILIARY MINESWEEPER. London, October 30. The Admiralty states that the auxiliary mine-sweeper Hythe (Commander Bird) was sunk on Thursday night. after collision with another British ship, near Gallipoli. Ten naval men and 145 military men are missing. THE HESPERIAN INCIDENT. Washington, October 30. Mr Lansing has announced tnat American naval experts have found, after the closest investigation, that the, Hesperian was beyond all doubt sunk by a torepdo. Germany will be immediately informed, with a request for an explanation, in view of her repeated assertions that the Hesperian was not torjpedoed. I SUBMARINES IN THE BALTIC.
