ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT. Peb Pbess Association. Dunedin, October 28. Frederick Williams, 58 years of age, residing in King Street, was killed at the Rattray Street railway crossing this evening. A train was being shunted over th© crossing, at a very slow pace, preceded by a pilot. Deceaed apparently attempted to pass round the train, but was struck by the guard’s van and fell between the rails, his body being rolled a little distance by the brake gear. Williams was terribly injured about the head and body ,and was dead when picked up.
